Is bongo fleva the best music genre in Africa?

When it comes to music, artists from Tanzania have been doing well in recent years putting bongo fleva music on the African map. 

Bongo Flava (or Bongoflava) is a nickname for Tanzanian music. The genre developed in the 1990s, mainly as a derivative of American hip hop and traditional Tanzanian styles such as taarab and dansi, with additional influences from reggae, R&B, and afrobeats, to form a unique style of music. Lyrics are usually in Swahili or English.

There is no doubt this is the best genre in Africa right now since artists have been giving us their best from love songs, when we talk about love songs, bongo fleva can only compete with bollywood stars.

Artists like Mbosso, Lavalava,Ali kiba, Diamond platnumz, Baraka da prince, Rayvanny, Barnaba,Zuchu,Jay melody,Marioo... have been on top on the part of love songs. Songs like Sukari by Zuchu have been sensetional in 2021, gaining alot of views on youtube.

Another love song is Naanzaje by Diamond platnumz. This song has been doing well since it got released, topping charts for many weeks.

Here are some of the reasons bongo fleva is the best Music genre in Africa.

  • It has one of the best music labels on the continent. WCB is one of the best in Africa. It has produced the best artists in which some of them like Rayvanny have won a BET award. The other members are Mbosso, Lava lava, Zuchu, Diamond platnumz and Queen Darleen. 
  • It has one of the best Artists in Africa. Artists like Alikiba, Diamond platnumz, Harmonize, Rayvanny, Nandy, Zuchu, Maua sama, Mbosso, Marioo, Darassa, Young lunya e.t.c have been producing hits after hits.
  • The best video directors come from the country. We have seen a huge performance of bongo fleva artists videos on various social media and music platforms. These is a result of the quality in the production, the set and editing. The video directors have been giving all of their best in ensuring they come up with the best contents to their viewers. The best directors include Hanscana, Kenny, Ivan, Elvis, Joowzey, Nicklass and destro.
  • The best music producers from S2kizzy, Lizerclassic, kimambo, simon, e.t.c.
  • Support from government officials. The government has been using the artists in their events, hence earning the artists.
  • The best up-coming artists. There are many artists who are bring prepared to take over the industry in the future. From artists like Macvoice to Ibrah are promising to deliver for the next generation.
  • Tight competition. There have been some rivarly between artists which has been creating various tensions, this has brought some advantage in releasing competitive works.
There are many factors that makes bongo fleva the best. You may have your opinions and i do respect that, we dont have to argue. At the end we know the truth.
